FAQs

How long do the candles burn for?

Our 7 oz candles have a burn time of 40 hours. Our 3.5 oz candles burn for 20 hours.

Can I reuse the jar when I am done burning it?

Yes! And we think you should. The jars are too beautiful to throw away! Try using your jar for q-tips in the bathroom, pencils on your desk, or as a mini vase for fresh flowers.

We suggest boiling water and CAREFULLY pouring it into the jar. The beeswax will melt, float to the top, and harden again when the water cools. Scoop out the wax and dump out the water. Repeat at needed. Chip at the wick-clip with a spoon and then clean the inside of the jar with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.

My candle isn't re-lighting! What do I do?

If there is more than 1/2" of wax left, then you either need to trim the wick or simply remove any built-up soot. If the wick is too tall it will not draw up enough wax to keep itself burning. Another issue with a wick that is too tall is that, if it does light, it could create a dangerously large flame. Wooden wicks work best when trimmed just about as short as you can get it (1/8" preferred). You may not even need to trim your wick, however, and just need to pinch the built-up-soot off the top. If the wax has burned down to under 1/2", it may be time to clean out the jar and buy a new candle.
